From Drills → Create a Drill → Create Manually, you fill in every field yourself:
Title and skill focus — one primary skill (dinks, drives, drops, 4ths, lobs, overheads, resets, returns, serves, or volleys), plus any number of secondary skills (communication, consistency, court positioning, footwork, mental game, placement, power, strategy).
Players on court — minimum and maximum.
Skill level range — optional, on the same 2.0–8.0 scale as DUPR ratings.
When to run it — beginning, middle, or end of a class.
Time needed and drill type (Skill, Live, Gameplay, or Ball Machine).
Setup and instructions — the two required text fields describing how to run the drill.
Optional coaching tips and a "make it competitive" variation.
An optional video upload.
Manual creation is the right choice when you want full control over every detail up front, rather than starting from AI-generated text and correcting it. Either way, the result is the same kind of drill — see Creating a drill with AI if you'd rather start from footage instead.
The drill saves as a draft. See Editing a drill and changing its status for how to change any of these fields later and publish it.
Available to coaches and club admins.
