From the PickleCraft mobile app, Record a lesson lets you capture a coaching session on your phone and turns it into a lesson your students can watch afterward, complete with an AI-generated summary and goals.
Here's what actually happens when you tap record: the app records video in short segments (about 45 seconds each) and uploads each segment in the background while you keep recording — it isn't one big upload at the end. That's why a strong wifi connection matters. On weak wifi or cell data, PickleCraft keeps retrying the segments that fail to upload, which drains your battery and data without actually finishing the lesson. Recording an hour-long lesson over cellular is likely to leave you with segments stuck retrying long after you've stopped.
Recommended: record over wifi whenever you can. If you're somewhere without reliable wifi, use Uploading a pre-recorded lesson instead — record with your phone's normal camera app, then upload the finished file once you're back on wifi.
Once your recording finishes uploading, PickleCraft automatically processes the video, transcribes it, and generates a title, summary, and coaching goals with AI — you can edit any of these before publishing. See Draft vs. published: how content becomes visible for what happens next.
