Publishing checklist: making your content visible to students

Where to find the publish toggle for drills, classes, series, and lessons — and what each one actually does.

Every content type you create starts as a draft, invisible to students, until you publish it. The mechanism is the same everywhere: open the item, find the Draft / Published toggle, and switch it on. See Draft vs. published: how content becomes visible for what that status actually controls.

Content type

Where to publish it

Notes

Drill

Drill edit screen

Separate from the Public setting, which controls whether other organizations can reuse the drill — see Editing a drill and changing its status.

Class

Class edit screen

Publishing triggers any pending enrollment notifications for students already on the roster — see Adding students to a class.

Series

Series edit screen

Publishing the series doesn't automatically publish the classes/sessions inside it — check those individually too.

Lesson

Lesson edit screen

The lesson and its video recording publish independently — see Assigning students to a lesson and editing the AI summary.

Drill session

Session edit screen

Sessions default to published (they're personal/self-practice by nature), but you can still mark one draft while you're still building it.

If a student says they can't see something you just created, this is the first thing to check — it's almost always a draft that hasn't been switched to published yet.

Available to coaches and club admins.
